Happy New Year
Thanks for sticking around
The past year was not an especially active year for my newsletter, but it was extremely busy for me. It was the year my debut novel, Of Wind and Wolves, was finally published after its long and arduous journey into print. More than anything, I want to thank those of you who have taken an interest in my work and supported this publication adventure. I never intended to be a fiction author, but my unplanned decision to begin this book and trilogy years ago has led me down this strange path. It has ultimately led me to this newsletter, Substack, and this wonderful community of readers and writers.
Thank you for being here.
Due to other personal commitments, including work, the farm, and family stuff, I’ve been unable to focus much time or energy on this newsletter in 2025. But I very much appreciate those of you who have stuck around and those who have subscribed during this time. I do intend to resume posting more now that things have hopefully quieted down and life is returning somewhat to normal.
Going forward, I’ll be adjusting some of my engagement here on the platform, and I’ve deleted the app, so my interaction on Notes, always limited, will essentially be nonexistent. If I’m slow to respond sometimes, this may be why.
I look forward to catching up in the coming weeks and wish you a new year filled with health, happiness, and inspiration!

No worries about not posting as much as previously. Life happens. Look forward to your insights and new posts in the coming year. Congratulations on your book. I've read it and it's the most interesting book I've read in years!
How to survive 2026 without the intellectual powertrain that is Substack Notes!? 😱
