Dark ages long since departed saw our bravest struck dumb; winter bides in darkness far wiser in its sleep than ever was green youth; and on each bough the silver glistens bright as when I first beheld the silent stars that shine forth in blackest night; they have never known heartbreak, awaiting their sunlit tomorrows which leave each morning cold; but never grief will rule the dark and nevermore rule me.
